A New Look for the IAA Website

October 26, 2021

Visitors to the IAA website are now finding a completely redesigned experience – one aimed at advancing the interests of member firms by providing access to essential expertise, crucial connections, and powerful advocacy tailored to their needs.

The homepage of the new IAA website

With the benefit of member feedback and professional web development expertise, we have created a new layout that will make it easier for members to find the resources they need to manage their businesses successfully, stay up-to-date on industry and regulatory news, and see all of the opportunities that IAA events offer at a glance. The new design also includes several critical improvements related to accessibility, privacy, and security best practices.

First Time Accessing the Site – What Members Need to Know

The first time that members and associate members visit the site and log in, they will be prompted to reset their password. To do this, click “Login” in the top right corner of the new homepage. Then, click “Forgot your password?” You can also use this direct link to reset your password.

You will receive an email from msonlineservicesteam@microsoftonline.com with a security code that will allow you to reset your password. Your new password will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Between eight and 64 characters in length
  • A mix of any three of: uppercase, lowercase, numbers, or symbols

Members experiencing difficulty with logging in and resetting their passwords should contact the IAA Services team at iaaservices@investmentadviser.org or at (202) 293-4222.

Essential Expertise

The Legal and Regulatory Library and the Business Resources Library — some of our old website’s most used features — have been combined into a single, streamlined Resource Library that houses a wide range of resources and guidance on topics including compliance, reporting, account operations, business operations, human resources, and more. The library is now more easily searchable, and users can specifically sort and filter results by date, relevance, topic, keywords, and more.

Visitors will also notice a new look and feel for our online newsletter IAA Today, where members can stay up-to-date with timely news, commentary, industry trends, and analysis of regulatory developments.

Crucial Connections

The IAA actively cultivates a diverse community of investment industry experts to help you expand your capabilities and your business. Our members build productive and lasting professional relationships through the IAA’s live and virtual conferences and workshops, committees and working groups, issue-specific member calls, and online communities.

For the first time, website users will be able to see our full suite of offerings – and register for upcoming events – on our dynamic new Events & Education section. Upcoming conferences and workshops, webinars, committee and working group meetings, and calendars for IAA certification programs are all in one place.

Powerful Advocacy

As the only organization exclusively representing the interests of fiduciary investment advisers, the IAA — with the assistance of our members — advocates before lawmakers and regulators on issues that matter to advisers and their clients.

Our Issues & Advocacy section is your one-stop-shop to access information about the IAA’s policy priorities, position statements, regulatory comment letters, and the IAA PAC. We have also updated our Take Action Now tool that allows advisory firm personnel and other stakeholders to easily and quickly email their federal representatives about legislation that will affect the investment advisory profession.

All of the content you rely on is still available, although some items may have moved. Pages that you have bookmarked may have a different URL now.

If you have any issues finding what you need, or have any feedback or questions, please reach out to us directly at MarComm@investmentadviser.org. This feedback will help us further improve the website experience for our members.
